• Travel/lodging/malpractice with tail coverage is covered.

Job Highlights

• Total beds in facility 97
• Daily patient load 18-20
• Closed ICU, no admitting or following patients, no procedures or codes needed.
• EMR: Epic
• ACLS & PALS certifications required
• 4-day shifts, 1 surge, 1 admin, 1 nocturnist
• Shifts times: 7a-7p, admin 9a-9p, Nocturnist 7p-7a
• APP shift coverage 10a-8p, 8p-4a

Facility Information

Piedmont Newton is a 103-bed, acute-care, community hospital in Covington, Georgia offering 24-hour emergency services, women's services, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and general medical/surgical services. In May 2019, Piedmont Newton completed a $10 million expansion and renovation of the Emergency Department. The project doubled the department's capacity from 16 beds to 32 beds, created an additional nurses' station, and a room for higher acuity trauma cases. Serving Newton County and surrounding communities for over 60 years, Piedmont Newton Hospital offers high-quality, patient-centered care. As a not-for-profit organization, hospital earnings go directly back into maintaining and improving services and facilities.
