The Department of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a full time clinical faculty at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The successful candidate will be a BC/BE adult neurologist with subspecialty training in Epilepsy and EEG and will join two other fellowship-trained epileptologists to provide care to a growing epilepsy population and help accelerate the growth of our epilepsy surgery and neuromodulation program.
We are a rapidly expanding academic neurology department located in Northeast Florida. We provide a collegial environment as well as opportunities for academic and leadership advancements through scholarly research and teaching. The successful candidate is also expected to participate in shared departmental clinical responsibilities.
This position will report to the Chair of the Department of Neurology, University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville.
About the Department of Neurology
The Department of Neurology of the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville is a leading academic program that provides clinical services to the UF Health Northeast Region. Our faculty are nationally renowned experts in their fields of expertise who deliver world-class subspecialty neurologic care.
Our department boasts of a Neurointensive Care Unit, a DNV Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center, an ALS Association Certified Center of Excellence, a Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, and a NAEC-Certified Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.
Our department is responsible for the neurology education of third- and fourth-year medical students from the University of Florida and other medical schools. We also offer an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program as well as a vascular neurology fellowship program.
We are also involved in cutting-edge research as well as participate in multiple pharmaceutical and biotechnology-related clinical trials and have close research affiliations with the McKnight Brain Institute.

About the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville
The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 16 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. The college offers 32 accredited graduate medical education programs. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.
For practicing physicians, the college offers a continuing medical education program that recruits national and international speakers who are well known and respected in their fields. The campus' faculty, residents and fellows are active in clinical research.
