The Florida State University College of Social Work (FSU CSW) invites applications for a tenure-earning open rank faculty position beginning in the Fall of 2025. The College educates students through its BSW, MSW (Clinical and Social Leadership concentrations) and research-focused Ph.D. programs. The College seeks candidates with research agendas that foster collaborative, fundable research in areas such as health, behavioral health, substance use, criminal justice, immigration, human rights, gerontology, and other key areas of social work research. We are particularly interested in those with expertise in advanced or innovative methodologies including but not limited to using artificial intelligence, advanced machine learning for predictive modeling, and big data approaches in their substantive areas of research. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, securing external funding, and professional service. Candidates should show a strong commitment to advancing cultural and community engagement in their research, teaching, and service.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctorate in social work or a related field. ABD candidates who will complete doctorates prior to the position start date will be considered. Applicants are expected to have a high level of research productivity and a clearly articulated, fundable research agenda commensurate with rank.
