Description

Northwestern Medical Center is seeking Pediatric Nurse Practitioners to join our staff!

Description:

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide care to inpatient neonates in a Level I nursery. This will be an on-call position with 1-2  weeks of 24/7 coverage and rounding. The PNP will also be responsible for inpatient pediatric patients who are admitted or under observation.

Our Family Birth Center has earned the prestigious “Baby Friendly” designation, only one of two in the state to achieve that level of excellence focused on supporting new moms and newborns. Our passion is to provide the highest level of care using current research to guide our evidence-based practices. We have a strong relationship with The University of Vermont Medical Center’s neonatal center in Burlington for the rare instance that more specialized care is needed.

Must be a graduate of an approved Pediatric Nurse Practitioner’s education program with current licensure. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a NICU, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively with physicians, other APPs, nursing, and ancillary staff. NRP and PALS certification are a must.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work within limits of training, experience and granted privileges, and must possess awareness and motivation to seek opinions of other medical staff when appropriate. Must have working knowledge of diagnostic/therapeutic equipment used in the department and have adequate skill and knowledge to effectively use technology while performing related duties.

Compensation/Benefits:
NMC offers competitive salaries, and generous benefits, including CME funds, signing bonus, educational loan repayment and relocation funds. We also have housing and flight assistance if you choose to work one week each month and not relocate.
